Action
Dermatix Ultra gel is an advanced scar formula that is proven effective in the management of scars.
Dermatix Ultra gel is manufactured with innovative silicone gel technology including cyclopentasiloxane (CPX) which imparts a soft and silky feel. CPX is a new generation film forming elastomer that offers the characteristics of excellent spreadability, quick drying, improved durability and wash off resistance that further enhance flattening and softening of scars.
Dermatix Ultra gel also has a unique ingredient of Vitamin C ester, ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate, which is a new active lipid form of Pro-Vitamin C with non-irritating neutral pH. A significant body of scientific research supports the use of Vitamin C which has cutaneous benefits in photoprotection and lightening hyperpigmentation. The absorption and clinical effect of Vitamin C in Dermatix Ultra gel is unknown.
How to know if Dermatix Ultra Gel is Working? A scar is usually red or darker in color compared to the normal surrounding skin; it is thick, dry and elevated and can be itchy and painful. With regular and proper use of Dermatix Ultra, the scar will flatten, soften and lighten over time. Itchiness and pain will also be reduced with Dermatix Ultra.
Indications/Uses
Dermatix Ultra gel works on scars caused by a variety of incidences. These may include scars resulting from surgery, burn, cuts, scratches, insect bites etc. Scars resulting from these incidences may become large, thick, dry and elevated and can be dark or red in appearance and may be itchy or even painful.

Place a pea size amount at the tip of the scar and gently spread thinly over the whole affected area. A pea size is sufficient to cover a 6-inch scar.
Allow to dry for about 1-2 minutes. Once dry, Dermatix Ultra gel may be covered with cosmetics or sunscreen.
Apply Dermatix Ultra gel twice daily (morning and evening) on clean, dry and intact skin only.
The patient should use Dermatix Ultra gel for 2 months and may continue to use Dermatix Ultra gel for as long as the patient see improvements on the scars.

Don't waste Dermatix Ultra gel by applying too much. A small amount just to cover your scar will be sufficient to make it work. If you apply too much, it will just take longer to dry.
A 15g tube may last approximately 10 weeks, on a 6-inch scar.
Before starting the application of Dermatix Ultra gel, you may want to take a picture of your scar. For a big elevated scar, you may want to measure its height as well. This will give you a benchmark to track the progress of your scar improvement.
How else can you take care of your scar: You should not expose your scar to extreme temperatures and intense sunlight. Tight clothing should be avoided in case it irritates or injures the scar tissue.
